Constructive Dismissal

Here at Veritas Law we offer professional legal advice on Constructive Dismissal. We offer specialist legal advice on employment law and we have the expertise and experience to help resolve your problem.

What is Constructive Dismissal?

Constructive dismissal is when someone has resigned from their job having felt that they had no choice but to do so as a result of the behaviour of their employer, or the way the employer has treated themcontact us

An example of constructive dismissal is when an employer has bullied an employee persistently over a period of time. However, constructive dismissal does not have to be due to persistent bad treatment, a single event could be enough if it was sufficiently severe

At Veritas Law we offer a free initial consultation and we also offer ‘No win – No fee’ for employees pursuing cases against their employers. Please contact us for more information.

To claim constructive dismissal, an employee must be able to show that:

  1. They were mistreated in breach of the employer’s duty of trust and confidence
  2. That the breach was serious, resulting in the employee resigning
  3. That the employee resigned because of that breach
